Pizzazz is the show choir for Grenada Elementary 4-5. Students entering grades 4-5 may audition in the spring to earn a spot in the group.

Members sing and dance to popular music as well as compete in several spring competitions. The group performs for school events such as Meet the Teacher and Veteran’s Day, along with community events like Downtown Jubilee, Green Street Music Festival, and House of Hope. In addition to the choir’s competition show, they also learn and perform a Christmas and Spring show each year.

Our program focuses on building a foundation in vocal and performance music for students to go on and compete at the middle and high school level.

Watch Pizzazz perform “Hero” from their 2023 competition show, From Villain to Hero.

Pizzazz traveled around the state in the spring of 2023 with their competition show, From Villain to Hero. The show featured songs by Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, and “Set it Off” from the Disney movie Descendants

The group finished first in the elementary division and received the Audience Choice Award at Jackson Prep, where Waylon Elliott also won the elementary solo competition. The group competed next at Jackson Academy, where they beat out middle school choirs to win top honors in the tier III middle school division.

The choir finished its season at Madison Central with a first runner-up trophy and Overall Best Performer honors for Jersi Greer.
